New Designs - Landing Now!

Well, it's been an interesting month. After spending 2.5 weeks in West Africa, I received an email from a lady who claims she was the first to make the design of my "Life Within" pendant. Long story short, website archives show her posting her version less than a week before me, in another country, and with a differing design. It's been much heartache, but I removed it from my site after selling it for over 4 years because I don't have the money to hire a lawyer. I can't believe that another designer would do that, when it is quite obvious I did not "copy" her...indeed, I had not even heard of her.

BUT, the silver lining is this...I have "birthed" several new pendants that have been gestating in my mind for a couple of years now...I just needed the impetus to finish them. Here is one of them...let the world note, I thought of these myself, based on my own experiences, and hold the "copyright" to these designs. That said, I think there is plenty of room in the world for the work of all designers. May you let your own creative juices flow!

Magnetic "Clip" Earrings for Non-Pierced Ears

Sooo cool...we have discovered the neatest solution for those pinchy clip earrings - MAGNETS! This is not the greatest picture, but here is what they look like. Strong, yet petite, sterling covered magnets hold your earrings onto your non-pierced (or pierced - I tried them!) ears. Simply place one side of the magnet on the front of your ear and one on the back.

I wore them all day - on the phone, etc. and felt no discomfort like pinchy clips or screwback earrings. Some even claim health benefits from the magnets! These will now be available on a wide range of our earrings.

Mother's Day Sale starting Monday!

On Monday I will be issuing a wonderful coupon to all of our customers, friends, and family to celebrate MOTHER'S DAY and our Grand Re-Opening! So exciting....

I got my new boxes today and they are so beautiful! All Birth Designs jewelry will now go out in gorgeous cocoa boxes with a turquoise foil stamping of our new logo.

I also had the wonderful privilege of finding an incredible lampwork beadmaker, with the funniest blog, at http://www.blackberrybeads.com. Her name is Donna Mehnert and her beads are gorgeous! I ordered some, and cannot wait to make them into something.

I have also re-ordered my studio - check out the cool new digs above. It is a super tall drafter's size desk with 8 of these divided drawers on both sides. Ah, if I only had time to create every moment of the day.
